Excellent supervision. Excellent clinicians.
CLINICAL SUPERVISION FOR SUPERVISORS
Since January 1, 2018, clinical supervisors in Arizona who are supervising associate-level licensed clinicians for hours toward independent licensure must receive training every three years and complete an online tutorial on Board statutes and supervision requirements. This class meets the training requirement set forth by the Board, both the 12-hour initial and the 6-hour refresher.
Taught by Ryan M. Sheade, LCSW, this class not only looks at the Arizona-specific statutes but also supervision models, issues that arise in supervision, and Ryan's ideas around why supervision can be one of the most important thing that senior clinicians do in their careers.
Rather than a "just meet the requirement" training, Ryan strives to make the Clinical Supervision for Supervisors training change supervisors' viewpoints on supervision and get them "on fire" for it, whether they are new to supervision or have been supervising clinicians for years.
