My Teaching & Supervision Philosophy
Clinicians don’t need more techniques, worksheets, or scripts.
They need:
-
A grounded clinical voice
-
A clear sense of who they are in the room
-
The capacity to hold complexity with care
-
The courage to lead, not perform
My work focuses on clinical identity formation, helping clinicians practice in ways that are ethical, culturally attuned, relational, and deeply human.
Supervision and training are not about performance.
They are about becoming.
How I Work With Clinicians
When we work together, we focus on:
-
Making meaning from cases rather than reacting
-
Understanding cultural identity and context as central to treatment
-
Developing reflective awareness (of the client, the room, and ourselves)
-
Practicing attuned therapeutic presence in real time
I teach clinicians how to think clinically, not just apply interventions.
This is what sustains a long, meaningful career in this field.
