About the event

Braving Private Practice: A Six-Week Clinical Cohort

This six-week, 9.0-hour intermediate-level training prepares licensed and pre-licensed mental health clinicians to navigate the clinical, relational, and ethical dimensions of independent practice. Participants will examine therapist identity, use of self, ethical decision-making under uncertainty, congruence between stated and actual practice, and culturally responsive engagement, drawing on Adlerian theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal process, shame resilience research, and the Multicultural Orientation framework. Through didactic instruction, structured workbook activities, case-based discussion, and reflective practice, clinicians will develop a clinically coherent and ethically aligned framework for sustainable independent work. 9.0 CE hours · NBCC ACEP #8026.
