Empowered Play

This dynamic in-person training equips clinicians with Adlerian Play Therapy techniques specifically designed to support the unique challenges faced by girls in today’s world. Rooted in the principles of Adlerian theory—belonging, significance, and social interest—participants will explore how to use the Crucial C’s (Courage, Connect, Count, and Capable) in play-based interventions to build self-worth, strengthen identity, and enhance emotional resilience in both individual and group therapy settings.

Through experiential learning, case examples, and interactive discussion, clinicians will leave with a toolkit of creative and developmentally appropriate strategies to support girls navigating societal pressures, stereotypes, and relational challenges.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:

1. Identify and describe at least three cultural or societal challenges that uniquely impact girls and how these challenges may manifest in the play therapy process.
