Leadership in Supervision: Leading With Clarity, Courage, and Connection

This training examines leadership within clinical supervision as a core competency for supporting supervisee development, ethical decision-making, and client care. Participants will explore how supervision requires not only clinical knowledge, but the ability to effectively navigate interpersonal dynamics, cultural differences, and complex relational processes that arise in supervisory relationships.

Grounded in Adlerian theory, Differentiation of Self, and evidence-informed leadership frameworks, this workshop focuses on the supervisor’s use of self, management of parallel process, and maintenance of professional boundaries in supervision.

Participants will develop skills to address conflict, respond to supervisee reactivity, and maintain a grounded supervisory presence while supporting growth and clinical accountability. Emphasis will be placed on culturally responsive supervision, ethical practice, and fostering a supervisory environment that promotes both competence and confidence.
